How pleased was I when Scott requested some visible mending on his favorite Patagonia cashmere zip cardi? He'd been listening after all! I thought I'd do something kind of plain on the lovely pale gray, so did a couple of woven wheels (a.k.a. spider's web stitch. Or, as I like to think of it, carbuncles) in a sunshiney mustard. Presently I noticed he hadn't worn it. It was too jazzy for him. Really? So now it's mine.
Patagonia, as you may know, is probably the most righteous clothing brand in the USA. And they have a mending program! I guess he should have sent it to them.
